Notice of Election Filing Dates
There will be a Long Beach City Election on November 3, 2026, for the purpose of electing two City Council Members for four-year terms, one City Council Member for a two-year term, one City Clerk for a two-year term, and one Mayor for a two-year term.

The first day to file an Affidavit of Candidacy is July 14, 2026, and the last day to file is July 28, 2026, no later than 5:00 p.m.

Affidavits of Candidacy may be filed at the Community Hub, 23956 North Lakeshore Dr, Glenwood, MN 56334 or with the City Clerk.
City of Long Beach
Long Beach is nestled along the North Shore of Lake Minnewaska in central Minnesota. Adjacent to Glenwood to the west, this small community boasts a population of 341 people, but between the golf course, the restaurants, Morning Glory Gardens, and of course Lake Minnewaska, there’s plenty to explore in Long Beach.

Events that can be held at the Gardens include weddings, anniversary parties, and family reunions.

• All clean up after each event.
• No foreign objects are allowed to be staked into the ground (i.e. tents or canopies).

Meeting Minutes and Agendas
Regular meetings for the City of Long Beach are the second Monday of each month. Special meetings for the City of Long Beach are the fourth Monday and the first Wednesday of each month. All meetings are now held at the newly constructed Long Beach Community Hub and are open to the public.
